Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar (born 5 March 1995) is an Indian actress best known for her 2008 role as the teenage version of 'Latika', a character in the Academy Award-winning film Slumdog Millionaire. As a member of the cast of that film, Tanvi Ganesh Lonkar is a recipient of the 15th Screen Actors Guild Award for 'Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture'. Lonkar lives in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India with her parents, Ganesh and Sharmila, and younger sister Janhavi. She speaks Marathi, Hindi and English fluently. She lives in Goregaon, a far-flung suburb of Mumbai, and studied in Dr.S.Radhakrishnan Vidhyalaya and now studies in Vibgyor High, Mumbai. Her mother Sharmila works as a technician in Hinduja Hospital while her father Ganesh works with the Union Bank of India. Lonkar was chosen for the role as the teenage Latika when her uncle, an acquaintance of Slumdog Millionaire co-director Loveleen Tandan, encouraged her to go for the audition; unfortunately, the scene for which she was auditioning was cut out of the film. However, when her uncle informed the director of Tanvi's ability in relation to Indian classical dance, Tandan suggested that she audition for the role of the teenage Latika. Tara Sutaria (born 19 November 1995) is an accomplished singer and performer. Having learnt classical ballet, modern dance and Latin American dances at the School of Classical Ballet and Western Dance, Royal Academy of Dance, U.K and the I.S.T.D (Imperial Society for Teachers of Dancing, U.K), she is quite the performer on the dance floor. Besides this, she has also performed with Louiz Banks,Mikey McCleary and has also been a soloist for the Stop-Gaps Choral Ensemble, singing at the NCPA for over a decade. Tara has sung for movies like 'Taare Zameen Par' and 'Guzaarish' and most recently ' David '. She is a multi talented artist, and has toured across India with Disney Channel. She was also a VJ for Disney's Big Bada Boom in 2010. She is also playing the lead role of " Sandy " in the hit stage musical " Grease " which is produced by Raell Padamsee's ACE Productions. Tara was born in Mumbai, India. She attended A. F. Petit Girls High School, Mumbai and currently attends St. Andrews College, Mumbai, with her younger sister, Pia Sutaria. Tara is an accomplished singer and performer. Deepal Shaw (born 21 February 1986), is an Indian actress, singer, model who works in Bollywood movies. Shaw was born in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh and raised in Mumbai, Maharashtra, to parents originally from Africa. She studied in D.P.Y.A. High School, Dadar. Her mother was born in Lucknow, while her father was born in Africa. She has a younger brother.As a child, her parents encouraged her to sing, first giving her lessons when she was only Three months old.She attended St. Xavier's College, where she pursued a BA in Psychology.
